A note is typically a short message that you create directly on the BSCW server. Notes are a convenient tool to:

• inform the workspace members on a subject,
• start and organize a discussion about a problem,
• question all members about their views on a topic.

A note can be created in a discussion (see 4.9). Beyond that, it can exist as a discussion entry in your clipboard or your trash (see 3.5).

You may display a note in a discussion (see section 4.9.4).

You may create a note as a  Reply   to other notes. This lets you contribute to threads of notes (see 4.9).
