3.5.2 Your trash

Your trash icon is displayed in the instant access bar of every folder page. Its form indicates whether or not there are objects in the trash.

  • Click the Waste  icon to inspect the contents of your trash. Its contents is displayed like any folder page.

A basic set of actions is offered on the selection menu bar. In particular,

 | Undelete |   returns selected objects to the locations from which they were deleted, i. e. moved to the trash -- if these locations are still available. To move the selected objects to a different location,  | Cut |   and  | Paste |   them in a place of your choice.

The actions  | Cut |   and  | Delete |   change the owner of an object: owner becomes the user who cut/deleted the object. The object inherits the owner of the ambient folder (who is in this case the owner of the clipboard resp. the trash).
Attention: caused by this owner change the action  | Destroy |   always destroys objects contained in the trash. The behaviour of previous BSCW versions (e.g. 4.1) to distribute "destroyed" objects first into the trash of the owner is omitted!

Special rules apply to deleting versions of documents under version control (see section 4.8.6).
