The appointment helps you to take part in a virtual meeting that is based on a computer conferencing application. To set up a virtual meeting you have to define the tools properties of the appointment accordingly.

Select  Join   from the action menu of the appointment to join a virtual meeting at the agreed upon time. BSCW then sends a file to your Web browser with the MIME type that will start the computer conferencing application specified in the appointment object and connect it automatically to the correct addresses -- if your computer system, and in particular your Web browser, are configured appropriately.
