The briefcase uses a Java Applet for the synchronisation of local files with the BSCW server. This Applet is loaded into your browser and executed by a special (Java) Plug-in. Your browser must support this plug-in, which is automatically installed if required. Additionally your browser must support JavaScript (which also needs to be enabled). Sun's Java Plug-in in version 1.4 is used and currently supported by the Web browsers Internet Explorer (version 5.5 or later) and Netscape Navigator (version 7.0 or later).

Please also note, that the briefcase synchronisation is only possible when using the MS Windows platform (version 98, 2000 or XP.)
